Major Duties

  • Serve as an Enterprise IT System/Application administrator for SAP suite applications and ancillary components supporting the DLA Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Enterprise Business System (EBS), Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW)...
  • ... Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC), Center of Planning and Excellence (CoPE), Warehouse Management System (WMS) and future programs as they are acquired and implemented.
  • Provides technical support to one or more assigned Enterprise level SAP applications within the DLA ERP/WMS Programs.
  • Monitor SAP core suite applications/tools and associated components.
  • Installs application security patches as required by the DLA Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) in the Sandbox, Conversion, Development, System Test and Stage Environments.
  • Perform regular daily/special checks and tests/verifies software to evaluate system performance and to identify preventative measures and/or problem areas.

Qualification Summary

To qualify for an IT Specialist (SYSADMIN), your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Troubleshoot/Resolve complex technical SAP application issues in the Test & Development and Production environments. Implement planning, configuration, integration testing and deployment of applications and associated components Coordinate with various teams to support environment refreshes, urgent fixes and security patches that simultaneously affect the operating system, database and applications. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
