Major Duties

  • Provides Tier 3 Enterprise infrastructure support for the DLA Systems Center Configuration Manager; DLA Mobility Program; and DLA Desktop standardization.
  • Provides Tier 3 Enterprise infrastructure support for the DLA Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Intune, Tanium; DLA Mobility Program; Vulnerability Management.
  • Responsible for the design, implementation, standardization, upgrade and sustainment of the DLA Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and software distribution architecture.
  • Duties may include software packaging creation, testing, scheduling and coordination associated with software distribution and standardized desktop and mobile device configurations.
  • Perform research, testing, hardening, deployment and sustainment of DLA Enterprise mobile device management infrastructure, cross platform support and mobile application services.

Qualification Summary

To qualify for an IT Specialist (SYSADMIN/INFSOEC), your qualifications must include: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Establishes and maintains centralized vulnerability management capabilities, to include creation and enforcement of standard desktop and mobile device configuration policies. Responsible for utilization and administration of performance and monitoring solutions designed to optimize use of infrastructure resources and ensure continuity within the end-user computing environment. Provide the design, development, execution and scheduling of system patching, for both server and workstations, for both DLA's Non-secure Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNET) and Secure Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET). Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
